A look back at top performances from WIAA first-round playoff games in the Green Bay area.
Players of the week
Isaiah Gash, Bay Port: The sophomore, pictured above, rushed for 96 yards and four touchdowns to power the Pirates to a 42-21 victory over Eau Claire Memorial in Division 1.
Dylan Hendricks, Pulaski: The junior rushed for 285 yards and four touchdowns as the Red Raiders won 40-6 at Appleton West. It’s the second straight season Pulaski won a playoff game as a No. 6 seed in D2.
Jared Jandt, Peshtigo: The sophomore rushed for 238 yards and two touchdowns as the eighth-seeded Bulldogs nearly upset top-seeded Wrightstown in D4.
Alex Spitzer, West De Pere: The junior made 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception and one sack for the Phantoms, who beat Seymour 42-7 to advance in D3.
Jared Walton, G.B. Southwest: The senior recorded 10 tackles, five tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in Southwest’s 44-12 victory over Ashwaubenon. The Trojans recorded 11 sacks in the game in D2.
Offensive line of the week: G.B. Notre Dame
The offensive line of sophomore Joel Meglic, senior Cole Peters, junior Fuzz French, senior Andrew Gruesen and senior Chris Kapic along with tight ends senior Matthew Rader and junior Josh Cribben cleared the way for the Tritons to record 373 yards of offense in a 33-13 victory over Luxemburg-Casco in a D3 game. Notre Dame totaled 237 yards in the second half and scored on all four of their possessions over the final 24
