Derik LECaptain 5 TDS. 3 rushing – 1 receiving and 1 throwing. That’s a top performer if I ever saw one. 20+ tackless and 200+ yards?! Thioughts?!?

Hi Kris, thanks for reading. It was another great game for Derik. I could list Derik as a performer of the week every week just about with how well he performs. However, I try not to list the same players for those five spots and spread the recognition out to as many players as possible in the area. Derik has been listed twice this year. Pulaski’s Dylan Hendricks is another player who has incredible totals each week, but I don’t list every week for the same reason. Regardless, all the stat leaders from the area are listed in the article. It has been extremely difficult to get Southern Door’s stats this year. I haven’t received any emails this year with them. They’re not entered on Hudl on Sundays when I compile this unless it’s the opposing team that entered it and they’re not entered on Wissports. I’ve posted an article on Derik this year in addition to covering a Southern Door game this season. I also discussed Derik on WFRV Channel 5’s HS Sports Xtra Show on Saturday. I maintain my website because I enjoy covering high school sports and want to see more coverage. I could easily just decide not to do this and use my free time to do other things.
