Week 4 Top Performers
A look back at top performances from Week 4 of the high school football season from the Green Bay area.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Ashwaubenon
Junior Micky Kiernan kicked a 33-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to propel the Jaguars to a 17-14 victory over Sheboygan South. Connor Ramage rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown to help Ashwaubenon remain undefeated on the season.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
James Arett, Notre Dame Academy: The senior carried the load for the Trtions at De Pere, totaling 241 yards on 37 carries, including a 69-yard touchdown run.
Ethan Hohol, De Pere: The 6-foot-3 senior caught five passes for 49 yards and a touchdown in addition to recovering a fumble in the second half to lead the Redbirds to a 10-7 victory over Notre Dame.
Alex Laughlin, Gibraltar: Caught five passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in addition to making 17 tackles and forcing a fumble in the Vikings’ 28-24 victory over Wabeno/Laona. Laughlin caught a 66-yard touchdown with 4 minutes remaining for the go-ahead score in the game.
Ben Redlin, Pulaski: The Red Raiders improved to 4-0 with the help of another strong performance from the junior, who rushed for a season-high 201 yards on 23 carries and three touchdowns.
Reece Worachek, Luxemburg-Casco: The senior amassed 45 carries in totaling 268 yards and two touchdowns in a three-point loss against Freedom.
OFFENSIVE LINE OF THE WEEK: Kewaunee
Owen Kudick rushed for 279 yards and four touchdowns in a victory over Crivitz behind the blocking of Tanor Bortolini, Chad Randolph, Mitchell Kinjerski, Aidan DeGrave and Cain Hall. Bortolini is the only senior in the group, while Kinjerski, DeGrave and Hall are sophomores.
DEFENSE OF THE WEEK: Algoma
The Wolves allowed only 103 yards, forced three turnovers and recorded a sack in a 42-0 shutout win at Gillett. Hunter Stoller led the team with eight tackles.
