Team of the Week: De Pere
The Redbirds battled back from a 21-6 deficit in the second half against Green Bay Southwest to pick up a 30-28 victory to improve to 2-0. Elijah Wright blocked a field goal that led to a touchdown by Lincoln Schaut, who recorded 12 tackles. Meanwhile, Max Minor kicked a 19-yard field goal to win the game as time expired.
Players of the Week
Garrit Aissen, Luxemburg-Casco: Completed 12 of 21 passes for 295 yards and five touchdowns in the Spartans’ 34-6 victory over Fox Valley Lutheran.
Jack Dessart, G.B. Preble: Rushed for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns in addition to completing 8 of 12 passes for 82 yards in a 20-13 victory at Manitowoc.
Jordon Deringer, Algoma: Rushed for 156 yards on 18 carries in addition to making 13 tackles in a hard-fought 28-20 loss against Manitowoc Lutheran.
Alex Laughlin, Gibraltar: Accounted for 206 receiving yards on four catches, including three touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 87 yards in a 28-6 victory at N.E.W. Lutheran. It was the Vikings’ first win against N.E.W. Lutheran since 2011.
Derik LeCaptain, Southern Door: Rushed for 266 yards on 35 carries and three touchdowns in a 20-14 victory over Wausau East. LeCaptain won the game with an 84-yard TD with less than 4 minutes remaining.

Offensive Line of the Week: West De Pere
The Phantoms averaged 6.2 yards per carry in rushing for 211 yards and didn’t allow a sack in a 35-0 victory at New London behind the offensive line of Kerry Kodanko, Gabe Somerville, Liam McDonough, Bryce Graef and Cameron Reese; fullback Matt Kempen; and tight ends Billy Wyatt and Luke Feaker.
