Standings in the Stands: Week 3
A look at “Standings in the Stands” from Week 3 of the high school football season.
Remember, if you want to see your school make the cut, send AP photos on Twitter (@AndrewPekarek), Snapchat (AndrewPekarek) or Facebook (PrepsAgenda) of your crew showing its fandom at a game this week.
If you want to send videos, do so with a Tweet or Facebook post so it can be easily embedded because the author of this column honestly has no idea how to save videos from Snapchat.
Student sections, bands, teachers and parents are encouraged to apply.
The “Standings in the Stands” grand champion is a participation trophy, so your participation is needed to win.
5. Ashwaubenon
Sadly, nobody has stepped up to fill the role of legend Ben Wittig from this bunch this year. The Jaguars make the list this week because there was a member of their student section rocking a JaMarcus Russell jersey.
4. De Pere
A marker board doesn’t count for an official means to make a submission for the list, but we’ll accept it since we were contacted on social media prior to the game to include you this week.
3. Pulaski
The Red Sea is consistent and filling the role of legend Jacob DeStarkey nicely, but can do better.
2. G.B. Southwest
The Trojans have gotten out of the No. 5 spot this week. They were really hyped up in this video sent from John Gahnz. You’ll just have to take my word for it.
1. Luxemburg-Casco
The Loud & Creative bunch from the ‘Burg continues to impress, climbing to the top spot this week with this YouTube video. It’s got everything: cheering, mascots, mesh hats, Patriotism, push-ups and even little kids cheering. It could have used a better music selection, but we’ll let that pass.
The Spartans also possess a standout on Snapchat in Danae Srnka, who is virtually sending updates every quarter of how the student section and team is doing.
The bar has been set people. Try to match it.
