Standings in the Stands: Who has the best fans in 2018?
It’s that time of year again.
The chatter coming into a new high school football season is always about who will step up and replace last year’s standouts on the field.
Just as important here at Preps Agenda is documenting who will step up in the stands as well?
That’s why Standings in the Stands is returning for a second season.
Think your school has the best fans in the Green Bay area? Then prove it by sending photos and videos of what makes the support of your team stand out. Send them to us on Twitter (@AndrewPekarek), Facebook (PrepsAgenda) and Snapchat (AndrewPekarek).
Each week AP will grade the submissions and award points to update his Standings in the Stands.
We’ll be at Dahlin Family Stadium Thursday night to award last year’s champion at Green Bay Southwest – a.k.a S³ – its trophy, which is a participation trophy of course because Standings in the Stands requires your participation to win.
If nobody participates this year, then we’ll just have to pretend this post never happened.
However, we’re confident there are individuals to step up to fill the cheering prowess left behind of greats like John Gahnz of S³ or Danae Srnka of the ‘Burg.
We know the Pineapple People in Ashwaubenon will continue despite losing the duo of Tark Meske and Jen. We’re pretty sure Wrightstown still has the Wright Stuff Squad going strong.
We love to Polka here, too, so somebody in the Pulaski Red Sea please step up to fill the void left by Emily Higgins.
Don’t be shy, and don’t let your school not make our Standings in the Stands again this year.
Get your AP and Pekarek Pals signs ready, there is another participation trophy to be won this year.
As always, student sections, bands, teachers, principals and parents are encouraged to apply.
