Ryczkowski takes the reins at Ashwaubenon
ASHWAUBENON – Brian Ryczkowski is one of the few new faces on the sideline in the Green Bay area this season.
The new Ashwaubenon football coach is in charge of taking the baton of the area’s second-longest playoff streak.
The Jaguars will aim to reach the WIAA playoffs for a 22nd straight season with Ryczkowski now leading the way. He replaces Mark Jonas, who went 64-38 in 10 seasons.

Ryczkowski already has an impressive resume as a head coach of program, going 53-19 over six seasons with Little Chute, which he led to a Division 4 state runner-up finish in 2014 and the North Eastern Conference title last year.
The 2003 Bay Port alum will get the opportunity to play his alma mater on Oct. 4.
Ryczkowski will have a plenty of first-year varsity players in the lineup this year with the Jaguars.
However, the former UW-Whitewater quarterback has experience returning at his former position with the return of junior Cadian Vang, who passed for 916 yards and 11 touchdowns with nine interceptions as a sophomore last year.
Senior Sam Nooyen and junior Luke Schroeder also return as experienced targets at the receiver position. Nooyen was a second team all-Fox River Classic Conference choice last year, while Schroeder advanced to the WIAA state track and field meet in the 300-meter hurdles.
